What Is A DSL Internet Connection
Welcome to DSL Internet Connection.org. No doubt you found this site while searching for information and resources related to DSL Internet Connection Services for your home or office computer needs.
What is DSL?
DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line. This technology uses phone lines to transmit information over the internet at higher frequency range than that of normal phone usage. A DSL connection is capable of handling data and voice signals at the same time, therefore your phone service is not interrupted when you use the internet and consequently your usage of the internet is not interrupted when you receive or need to make a phone call.
DSL connection speeds can vary and are dependent on the distance between the subscriber and the provider. DSL technologies have two major types: ADSL internet access requires a fast downstream connection but slow upstream connection, and Symmetric DSL requires high speed connections in both directions. Obviously, straight DSL is the best option when you are looking for speed.
